EnamelAncient technique, new form of expression. Enamel brings colour to metal, enabling luminous surfaces, clean shapes and a distinctive feel. What began millennia ago with fire enamel takes on a new form at Pioté.

01 What is cold enamel?

Melted colours: over 200 years ago, Emmanuel Pioté still worked with fire enamel; today, we use cold enamel. With cold enamel, colour is bound in a special resin that is applied without high temperatures and bonds permanently with the metal surface.

Unlike classic enamel, the resin layer is less brittle and more resistant in everyday wear. Silver and gold-plated silver are also protected during processing.

02 Why Cold Enamel?

Gemstones envy cold enamel for its range of expression. The material bends to the designer's ideas. Intense colour fields, fine lines and graphic shapes – possibilities that gemstones alone cannot offer.

The surface combines especially well with gold plating and modern designs. Add to that a feel that is warmer and softer than classic enamel. The result: new colours, new accents, new forms for jewellery.

03 Sustainable

Cold enamel is durable and hard-wearing. This jewellery isn't afraid of housework or gardening. What lasts doesn't need to be replaced as often. That's what we call sustainable.

Our supply chains are transparent, too: we know exactly where our materials come from and how they're processed. Silver and gold-plated silver are also protected by the cold enamel process itself. And we use exclusively recycled gold.

Production

Pioté works with specialised partners in the places where distinctive craft techniques have been refined over generations.

01 Cold Enamel

Our distinctive design calls for experienced specialists. Our enamel pieces are made in India by a partner specialised in modern cold enamel. Years of experience, precise handwork and certified social standards bring our designs to life.

Mumbai, India
02 Stone pieces

Rajasthan has been one of the major centres of gemstone craftsmanship for centuries. Our stone pieces are made there by specialised stone cutters, with a direct supply chain and traceable material origin. This means the journey of every stone remains traceable, right down to its final cut.

03 Web Technology

Weaving and braiding are among the oldest techniques in jewellery making. Our Filato pieces are made near Florence, where this traditional weaving technique is still practised today. The fine gold weave sits close to the skin, distributes its weight across the surface, and comes alive with every movement.

Sustainability

PIOTÉ COMBINES HIGH-QUALITY JEWELLERY MAKING WITH CLEARLY DEFINED STANDARDS FOR MATERIALS, RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION AND LASTING QUALITY. WITH THE AMBITION OF CREATING JEWELLERY THAT STAYS.

01 Materials

The magic word: sustainability. Our jewellery is made from certified materials: 925 sterling silver and recycled 18-karat gold. Direct and traceable supply chains make visible where our materials come from and how they are processed.

02 Social Affairs

Good jewellery begins with the people who make it. That's why we work with production partners who follow binding social standards and are regularly audited. This includes SMETA 4-Pillar audits, as well as partners certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council.

03 Resources

Consciously made. The focus is on waste minimisation, closed material cycles, and CO₂-optimised production processes. A 14-step quality control process and durable manufacturing standards help ensure materials are used deliberately and waste is avoided.

04 Packaging

Less is more. Our packaging is minimal, paper-based, and focused on the essentials. And wherever there's still room to improve – such as in transport and shipping – we're working on it.

Men's jewelleryMost men's jewellery lands somewhere between status symbol and generic design – real personality often gets lost along the way.

Between the signet ring and the skull ring, there's little jewellery that simply feels natural to wear. That's exactly where Pioté comes in: uncomplicated, distinctive, and made for men who want to wear their own style.
